Maggie Mauer joined the firm in April 2016. Ms. Mauer was admitted to the Texas Bar in November 2010 and until joining the firm, practiced primarily in estate planning and probate. Her practice areas are transitioning to also include a variety of business transactional matters as well as commercial litigation.
Ms. Mauer received her B.A. in English Writing and Rhetoric from St. Edward's University in Austin. While attending South Texas College of Law, Ms. Mauer clerked for Judge John Donovan, (then presiding in the 61st District Court, Harris County) and currently a Justice for the 14th Court of Appeals, and subsequently for Judge Al Bennett (then presiding the 61st District Court, Harris County) and currently a judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
During her clerkships, Ms. Mauer drafted orders and legal memoranda to assist with and supplement the judges' decisions regarding motions before the court, most notably for a multi-million dollar lawsuit involving breach of contract and antitrust claims. She also authored content later published on the Harris County website for a seminar presented by Harris County civil judges guiding appointed attorney ad litems in their duties. She looks forward to the opportunity to serve the firm’s clients.
